The General Assembly of the Association Internationale Aphasie (AIA) took place on 20
September 2025 at the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol.
Members from Cyprus and abroad joined both in person and online, highlighting the
strong international commitment to raising awareness about aphasia.
A new Board was elected:
President: Alexia Kountouri (Cyprus)
Secretary: Colin Lyall (UK)
Treasurer: Jean-Marie Annoni (Switzerland)
Board member: Clotilde Marteel (France)
Board member: Paula Ryan (USA, Argentina)
Board member: Fanni Eckhardt (Hungary)
The new Board will continue promoting awareness and support actions for people with
aphasia, aiming to improve quality of life and strengthen social sensitivity.
